A Few Tips From Wise Flight Attendants

Over the years I have learned some fantastic tricks from my fellow flight attendants, and I continue to learn more all the time. Here are a few tips I've received for packing food.

1. Use an old fashioned ice bag as an ice pack to keep your food cold. You can re-fill it with ice from the plane or hotel throughout your trip. Best part? The melted ice won't leak all over your bag.

2. To keep your frozen food nice and cold, wrap it in tin-foil. It not only keeps the actual item cold but it helps disperse the cold to your other food items.

3. Pack salad dressing in a travel-size shampoo bottle. I like to use the squeeze ones with the tiny pour hole from Target.

4. Line your cooler tote with a plastic garbage bag before placing your food in it. This makes for easy clean up if your food containers leak or spill. As I've kind of mentioned before, I'm not a huge fan of plastic so to avoid it, I line my tote either with a towel or tin foil instead.

These great tips have helped me immensely and I hope they help you too.

As always,

Here's to Life, Love, Health and Happiness! Cheers!
